Welcome to our Malaspina Bed and Breakfast on the Sunshine Coast North. Our 3 unit, adults only B&B is located on beautifully landscaped 4.5 acres of west coast woodland near Lund, just north of Powell River, British Columbia, Canada. There are endless hiking trails in the area, including the Sunshine Coast Trail. You can take one of the locally offered excursions to the breathtaking Desolation Sound Marine Park via boat or kayak, see up close the incredible nature, wildlife and marine life. You can also just enjoy your time here with a book on the balcony or patio, take a walk among the trees or pamper yourself with a dip in our small swimming pool (seasonal, not heated). The public Government Dock on Okeover Inlet and Dock in Lund harbor are just minutes away, providing access for canoeing, kayaking or boating. For all guests we have plenty of parking.

The Sunshine Coast Trail -180 km long hiking trail from Sarah Point to Saltery Bay (or the other way) with many access points on the way.
Sunshine Coast Trail Day Hikes (just a few from many);
1.Manzanita Hut – moderate in difficulty, this hike offers a panoramic lookout far and wide across the Strait of Georgia. The trailhead is only steps from our B&B.
2.Tin Hut – challenging, but so worth it for epic 360-degree views that are one-of-a-kind in the world
3.Scout Mountain – a moderate climb with clear vistas overlooking Powell Lake and the historic Townsite district
Inland Lake – stunning, 13 km long loop trail, easy. Walk or bike around a lake; beautiful scenery, warm water for swimming
Hurtado Point – moderate in difficulty, beautiful, short hiking trail, starting just off Highway 101 (not far from our B&B) leading to mossy bluffs overlooking the northern Strait of Georgia, and specifically the spectacular sandy beaches of Savary Island; watch for eagles sitting on the tops of trees or flying above your head and sea lions are often present below the bluffs.
Savary Island – there is a beach to suit all – The Front Row, South Beach, Patricia Crescent, Duck Bay, Mermaid Trail, Southerland Steps, Indian Point – all have their unique feel. Bring your own refreshments and snacks; Savary Island has no services or shopping.
To get there, take the water taxi from Lund; reservations are highly recommended
